Terms & Conditions

The platform operates as a marketplace, therefore the specific user-to-user arrangements (e.g. shipping and returns) are agreed by the parties and remain their responsibility.

This document is provided in English for informational purposes only. In case of any dispute or legal question, only the Hungarian version is legally binding. The platform is used at your own risk; the operator disclaims all liability arising from user-to-user transactions, communications, shipping, payments, data processing or any other activities. These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the platform. The platform operates as a marketplace: the specific sale and fulfillment terms (e.g. price, payment, shipping and returns) are primarily agreed between the buyer and the seller. These terms summarize the key rules for using the platform and the framework around user-to-user transactions.

1. Nature of the service

The platform enables users to list products, browse, bid and/or purchase items. The platform operator acts as an intermediary and a technical service provider.

The platform is not the seller of items listed by users. Sellers are responsible for accurate listings, lawful sale, item condition, and fulfillment (handover, packaging, dispatch and any required information to buyers).

The platform may provide features that support transactions (e.g. messaging, favorites, ordering flows). These do not mean the platform assumes seller obligations or guarantees successful fulfillment.

2. Accounts and eligibility

Some features require registration. Users must provide accurate and up-to-date information and keep account credentials secure.

Users are responsible for activity performed through their account unless unauthorized access is demonstrably caused by a platform fault. Suspected unauthorized use must be reported promptly.

The platform may restrict or terminate accounts for security, abuse-prevention or legal reasons in accordance with its processes.

3. Listings and prohibited items

Sellers must present items truthfully (description, condition, defects, key characteristics and images). Misleading or incomplete information may lead to disputes and removal.

Listing illegal items, counterfeit goods, dangerous items, restricted goods or infringing content is prohibited. Posting unlawful content (e.g. copyright violations, unauthorized personal data, harassment) is also prohibited.

The platform may review, moderate, hide or remove listings and may warn or restrict users if content violates rules or indicates abuse.

If a seller's subscription expires and is not renewed, their listings are deactivated immediately. After a grace period of up to 60 days following expiration, listings that are not blocked by an active transaction (e.g. an order history or an ongoing auction with bids) will be permanently and irreversibly deleted, including all uploaded images. Sellers will be notified by email 7 days before deletion. Renewing the subscription before the deletion date preserves all listings.

Listings may be created and completed only by a human user, or with Resollo's own built-in AutoList feature. Using third-party automated tools or AI agents to fill, edit or submit listing forms on the platform is not permitted, regardless of any browser automation or assistant used.

4. Bidding, offers and orders

Bidding, making offers and/or purchasing reflects the user’s intent to transact and may result in a transaction between the parties based on the listing terms and their agreement.

Before bidding or buying, users should review the listing, item condition, and the intended payment and shipping arrangements. Parties are responsible for the content of their agreement, including via in-platform messages.

Technical behavior (e.g. latency, disconnections, maintenance) may impact bidding or ordering. The platform will take reasonable steps to investigate issues, but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation.

5. Fulfillment (handover, shipping) and communication

Fulfillment details (handover, shipping) are agreed by the parties. The platform may provide tools to communicate and keep records, but it is not a party to the sale.

It is recommended to confirm key details in writing (timelines, handover method, packaging, tracking and evidence). The platform is not responsible for performance of the parties’ agreement.

For in-person pickup, users act at their own risk. The platform does not guarantee meetings occur and is not responsible for events arising from in-person meetings. To support handover verification, the platform automatically generates a unique pickup code for every in-person order at the time of dispatch. The buyer must enter this code when confirming receipt; the platform will not record the handover without a matching code. This code constitutes platform-level evidence that the physical handover took place.

Cash payment is only available in combination with personal pickup. For cash-payment orders, the platform records a mandatory seller confirmation: the seller must explicitly acknowledge receiving payment before the order can be closed. This seller-side acknowledgement — mirroring the buyer-side pickup code — constitutes platform-level evidence of the cash transaction and cannot be bypassed.

6. Fees, payments and third-party providers

The platform may charge fees for certain features (e.g. subscriptions, promotions, commissions). Fee amounts, due dates and payment methods are displayed on the platform and related notices.

Payment between buyers and sellers is generally arranged by the parties unless the platform explicitly provides a payment feature. The platform is not responsible for payment performance, delays or refunds between users.

The platform may use third-party providers (e.g. payment, email delivery, hosting). Those providers’ terms may apply; the platform is not responsible for third-party outages or decisions.

Subscriptions are activated immediately upon payment confirmation. The user explicitly acknowledges this and thereby waives the 14-day right of withdrawal with respect to the subscription service already commenced.

The commission is earned upon the creation of the transaction and is not refunded in the event of withdrawal. The seller is solely responsible for refunding the buyer; the platform does not participate in this obligation.

7. Conduct rules, abuse and moderation

Misuse, fraud, harassment, deception, unauthorized data access, spamming, or behavior that harms other users or platform security is prohibited.

The platform may apply technical and operational measures to prevent and investigate abuse, including content moderation and account restrictions.

Subject to applicable law, the platform may cooperate with authorities and take appropriate steps where illegal activity is suspected.

8. Liability limitation and disputes

The platform is provided on an “as is” basis. The platform does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation or successful completion of user-to-user transactions.

The platform is not liable for seller performance, item conformity, shipping, payment, or disputes between users. Users enter into agreements and act at their own risk.

In case of disputes, buyers and sellers should first attempt to resolve the issue directly. The platform may facilitate communication, but is not a dispute resolution authority and does not owe compensation.

9. Additional Disclaimers and Jurisdiction

The platform does not guarantee continuous, error-free operation and is not liable for data loss, unavailability, technical problems, or system failures. Users are responsible for securing their own data.

Users are solely responsible for any content they upload. The platform reserves the right to moderate content but is not responsible for its legality, accuracy, or for any infringement of third-party rights.

The platform is not responsible for the operation, data processing, availability, or decisions of any external links or third-party services (e.g. payment providers, couriers, hosting). Users must review and accept third-party terms independently.

The platform is not liable for any failure to perform or delay due to force majeure (unforeseeable external events, e.g. natural disasters, war, legal changes, internet outages, pandemics, government actions, etc.).

All disputes arising from the use of the platform are governed by Hungarian law, and the courts of Hungary shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

9. Changes to these terms and the service

The platform may update the service, features and these terms (e.g. due to legal changes, security reasons or operational improvements). Changes are published on the platform.

Updated terms apply from the publication date or the indicated effective date. The platform may use additional notification channels, but does not guarantee this in all cases.

If a user does not accept updated terms, they may stop using the service.
