What Selling Actually Costs, and How You Get Paid
Selling fees on marketplaces are usually buried in fine print. Here's the whole picture in plain terms: what Resollo charges, and what happens to the money once an item sells.
What it actually costs to sell
No plan charges you per item — what you pay, if anything, is the plan itself (a monthly subscription), or on the Commission plan, its own commission rate once something sells.
- 1
No per-item fee
There's no extra charge for listing one more item — publishing is never billed per item, on any plan. Free plan sellers pay nothing at all; Basic, Standard and Premium sellers already cover it with their subscription.
This is about marginal cost, not average cost — one more listing is free within your plan, but if you don't use your full limit, your effective cost per listing ends up higher than if you fill it.
- 2
Free, Basic, Standard, Premium: 0% commission
On these plans you keep the full sale amount. The only cost is the plan's own subscription price, which is €0 on the Free plan — not a cut of what you sell.
- 3
Commission plan: pay only when you sell
No monthly fee at all — instead, the plan's own commission rate is taken from each completed sale. It also unlocks auctions. Exact rates and limits for every plan are on the pricing page.
How you actually get paid
You choose which payment methods to accept when you set up your listing — cash, bank transfer, PayPal, card or Stripe. That choice decides how the money reaches you.
- 1
Personal pickup or cash
For local, in-person sales, the buyer pays you directly, hand to hand. Resollo only records the order — nothing passes through the platform, so there's nothing to wait for and nothing taken off the top.
- 2
Bank transfer or PayPal
Same principle: the buyer pays you directly, outside the platform. Resollo records the order but never touches the money.
- 3
Card payments via Stripe
If you accept card payments, the buyer pays through Stripe, and it settles into your own Stripe account on Stripe's normal payout schedule. This is the one method that requires setting up a Stripe account — Stripe's own standard processing fees apply, the same as they would on any other Stripe-powered checkout.
Running auctions specifically requires a Stripe account, since real-time bidding depends on it — even if cash or bank transfer is how you'd otherwise get paid.
Frequently asked questions
- Does Resollo take a commission on sales?
- Not on the Free, Basic, Standard or Premium plans — you keep the full sale amount. Only the Commission plan charges its own commission rate per completed sale, as an alternative to a monthly subscription.
- How much does it cost to sell on Resollo?
- There's no per-item fee on any plan — listing one more item never costs extra on top of your plan. What you pay, if anything, is the plan itself: a subscription price on Free, Basic, Standard or Premium (€0 on Free), or the Commission plan's own commission rate per sale — never both.
- Do I need a Stripe account to sell on Resollo?
- Only if you want to accept card payments or run auctions. For cash, bank transfer or PayPal, no Stripe account is needed — the buyer pays you directly.
- How do sellers get paid on Resollo?
- However you choose to accept payment: in person for cash, directly for bank transfer and PayPal, or into your own Stripe account for card payments, on Stripe's normal payout schedule.
- What's the difference between a subscription plan and the Commission plan?
- Subscription plans (Free, Basic, Standard, Premium) charge a fixed price and take 0% commission. The Commission plan charges nothing upfront but takes its own commission rate from each sale instead.
- Is there a fee to list an item for sale?
- Not per item, no — listing one more item is never billed separately. Basic, Standard and Premium do have their own monthly subscription price, though; that pays for the plan's higher limits, not for each individual listing.
